I signed up for this company only because they are the only cable company that comes through to my apt. At first it seemed that things would be pretty straight forward. You call the company they set up the date and then you get the service. Unfortunately things didn't work that way. First off, when the technician came he was in regular street clothes and the only thing that he did was plug in a splitter into my cable and unwrap and plug in the cable modem. After that he said, ok things look good and then left. All in all he spent no more than 2 minutes at my place. He didn't even bring cables. Luckily I already had some old cables from home. I then received a phone call asking about the service. I told them about it. They asked if I got the "starter package" I said no I didn't, they said they'd send me one. Ok now to the service, they say that they are partnered with DirecTv, but for some reason they are unable to provide DirecTv's programing. It seems that this complex is analog only. I thought that wouldn't be a problem until I turned on the tv. They don't even provide a TV Listing channel, I wasn't even given any sort of paper telling me what channels are what. So after about 3 days of dealing with this I decide that I'm going to call customer service and perhaps have them switch me to satelite? When I called, they had no recollection of the call that I received following connection and promising to send me a starter package. "We don't have a starter package" they claim. So I asked about a channel guide, the woman claims that the service is not available in my area? So I said what am I paying for? I'm like ok... fine, so can I switch my service to DirecTV? The lady said, "I don't think that's possible in your area". Astonished as I looked out the window at the various DirecTV and Dish Network satellites, I said asked to speak to a supervisor, which never happened, so then I just decided to cancel service. But no that's not easy either, I had to schedule an appointment to disconnect and they charged me another 25 dollars to do so. DIRECPATH Service is the worst company that I've ever had to deal with.

I called DirecTV directly and everything was set up in a timely and professional manner.
